Test bearings were soaked in gasoline or gasoline treated with CA-40 for 24 hours per sample. The tests were completed with 26 lbs of pressure on the rotating bearing, which was half-submerged in the test medium. Bearings were then tested using three trials on the bearing machine until they failed.
